Lara Smith is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (NP) currently providing compassionate primary care to patients at our office in the city of Buffalo. She completed both her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in nursing at D’Youville University.
Lara brings almost a decade of experience as a registered nurse in a variety of medical specialties and environments to General Physician, PC. She has a track record of managing care for complex patient cases, thanks to her time spent in neuro-medicine, cardiothoracic, trauma, and medical intensive care units (ICUs).
Outside of work, Lara is a passionate advocate for functional fitness, recreational athletics, and giving back to her community. You can find her coaching fitness classes at Nickel City Athletics on the West Side of Buffalo. She participates in the Giving Hearts program through Kevin Guest House and is an Alumni Board Member for D’Youville University.
In her down time, Lara enjoys exploring different cities on her bike with her husband, taking her dogs to the dog park, and cooking creative meals.
